What a year!
2021 will definitely be one for the books for The Kate Broddick Team. Between multiple lockdowns, a constant feeling of the unknown and an economy that was just dying to reopen, 2021 left many families overwhelmed and unsure of what the future may hold.
For the first 4 months of the year, our team of REALTORS® worked remotely to keep everyone safe. This was a hard feat for a close knit team like ours where we thrive off of each other’s energy. We adapted the best way we knew how but there is no doubt that we had our own internal struggles that were triggered by the looming pandemic that often felt like there was no end in sight.
With record low inventory levels and soaring prices, we felt the burden for our buyer-clients who were frustrated by the sellers market. Many of us questioned the market but the advice we gave to our clients truly kept their best interests at heart.
Although everyone had their own beast to contend with in 2021, there was so much light that shone through. The pandemic brought a sense of reflection for me and what I truly wanted in life—both personally and professionally.
After many months spent pondering the next move in my real estate career, I listened to my gut and made a very important call to someone from my past; someone who I’d been quietly watching for the last two years.
That person was owner and founder of Revel Realty Inc., Ryan Serravalle. Ryan and I had gone to school together as kids, but it had been decades since I’d seen him.
Ryan and I connected over real estate banter a few times here and there, but I always believe that timing is everything and so when I made the call to find out more about his brokerage and how our brands could compliment each other, the ball quickly began to roll.
Opening a brokerage was a 5 year plan that fast-forwarded quite quickly and before I knew it, the emergence of the first team office came to life.
I Will Always Show Gratitude
2021 will always be a year that I’m grateful for. Although one of the hardest years I’ve personally had to endure, it forced me focus on the things that needed work, shed the things that no longer served me and take notice of all the wonderful opportunities and relationships that surrounded me. In 2021 I grew in leaps and bounds and for that I will always be grateful.
We’ve Built a Strong Foundation
2021 was a pinch year for The Kate Broddick Team. The last quarter we quietly built a strong foundation for what’s to come in 2022 and beyond. Our sense of purpose is greater than ever before and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
