December 1, 2018 – Brantford Lights at Glenhyrst. After the switch on event on Fri. Nov. 30 at 7:00pm, the lights will be on nightly from 6:00 – 9:00pm. The last night of the lights will be January 1, 2019. Santa will be at the gallery Every Thursday from 6:30 – 8:00pm. The gallery will be open Wednesday to Sunday for hot chocolate and treats by the Golden Teapot. Visit Glenhyrst at 20 Ava Road, Brantford.
December 8, 2018 – Christmas Bells with the Elmer Iseler Singers. Shake the dust of your Christmas bells and bring them along to the Sanderson and the BSO’s annual seasonal extravaganza! As always, the Brantford Symphony Orchestra presents your sentimental favourites in new and exciting arrangements, along with some “two thumbs up” chestnuts from years past. And if all that isn’t enough to get you rushing for your tickets, we go way over the top by presenting, as our special guests, one of Canada’s most famous choirs, the Elmer Iseler Singers. The Singers, who on their own have wowed Brantford audiences on several occasions in recent years, now team up with the amazing Brantford Symphony for a show that will be the gold standard of Christmas shows for years to come. The seats will go fast and the Sanderson will be packed! December 12, 2018 – Let’s Talk About ADHD. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADhD) is the most commonly diagnosed mental disorder of children. Adults with ADhD may have trouble managing time, being organized, setting goals, and even holding down a job. Join Diane Brunette, a Registered Counsellor and ADDCA Certified ADHD Coach at the County of Brant Public Library in Paris for a series of talks this fall to help people learn more about ADhD. As always you will need a free County of Brant Public Library card to attend our events. Tonight’s seminar is “How To Handle The Stress Of The Holidays”. December 22, 2018 – Handel’s Messiah Singalong. On Saturday December 22, at Grace Anglican Church, at 7:30 p.m., the choir invites you to a Messiah Singalong where you are encouraged to sit with the choir and join in the singing of many of Handel’s beloved choruses. Join the Grand River Chorus at Grace Anglican Church for this wonderful evening. 4 Pearl Street in Brantford.
